Chelsea playmaker Eden Hazard is married to childhood sweetheart, Natacha Van Honacker. The couple started dating in their early teens and at 19 years old, Hazard became a father. In 2012, they got married in a secret ceremony, attended by a small group of close family and friends. Nowadays it’s rare for a young, rich footballer to stay with the same women for long. When Hazard moved from Tubize to Lille, Natacha remained in Belgium to finish her studies. Once she finished her education, Natacha moved to France to live with the Belgian superstar!
Natacha Van Honacker is not your average premier league wag. She’s a shy girl who hates any media attention. Hazards wife likes to keep a low profile and isn’t active on social media websites such as Facebook and Instagram. There is one fan-made Facebook fan page for her but it was clearly set up by a Chelsea fan. It’s refreshing to see a wag who is down to earth. Normally wives of top premier league footballers love sharing private details about their lifes, Roberto Firmino’s wife is non-stop posting photos on Instagram.
Eden Hazards isn’t your typical footballer who spends his time partying and going to nightclubs until the early hours into the morning. The Belgian is more of a family man and would rather spend time at home with his wife and two young kids. Since Hazard is a family man, it could affect what club he moves to next as it’s unlikely he will remain at Chelsea much longer.
His partner Natacha would prefer her husband to move back to France, where he spent five years playing in Ligue 1 before the Premier League. This news would be music to PSG’s ears as they have been following the Chelsea midfielder for years and would pay around £70 million to complete the transfer. Real Madrid are also rumoured to be interested in signing him but I believe that transfer is unlikely as Hazard would rather not have to learn a new language. He and his wife already speak French, so PSG would be the perfect club. It’s only a matter of time before Eden leaves Chelsea because the London side have performed poorly over the last two years. Hazard claims he is happy to remain at Stamford Bridge for now but his opinion might change in the summer when a club offers big money for his signature.
Eden is not the only talented football player in his family. He has three younger brothers – Thorgan, Ethan and Kylian who are also professional footballers. It’s possible in the future all three brothers will be apart of the same squad for the Belgian national team.
