Despite Chelsea seemingly on course for a 2nd Premier league title in 3 years, The Blues are already looking forward to next season as they look to strengthen their squad in all departments in order to compete on all fronts next term.
The Premier League leaders have been linked to a host of players in Europe, and have set their sights on Monaco playmaker, Bernado Silva, according to report from The Sun. The 22-year-old Portuguese has impressed over the past couple of years, but has been more spectacular for Leonardo Jardim’s men all season, as the principality club aim to wrest the Ligue 1 title from the vice-like grips of capital club, Paris St. Germain.
Manchester United are also interested in his signature, but the doubt of the 20-time English champions making the Champions League next season may prove to be a major stumbling block, but the transfer fee being mooted at £70m may prove too steep for even the likes of Chelsea.
The English media have a chance of seeing Silva play in the country, as he leads his Monaco team to Manchester to play against Manchester City on Tuesday nights. Lots of scouts from English teams such as Tottenham, Chelsea and Manchester United will be at the Etihad to watch the mesmerizing star strut his stuff.
Silva is a central attacking midfielder also capable of playing on either flank. He has been praised for his dribbling, creativity and vision and is also being monitored by Barcelona.
He has played 33 matches for Leonardo Jardim’s men this season, who are currently topping the Ligue 1 due to their attacking prowess. He has scored 9 goals and assisting 5 more.
