Romelu Lukaku has confirmed negotiations over his future are underway, claiming he wants to win the Premier League and Champions League.
He’s been heavily linked with a move to a lot of clubs and Manchester United is also keen on acquiring his service. Lukaku agent Mino Raiola is in the process of concluding talks with Everton’s hierarchy over his players future.
Manchester United is trying to get a new striker this summer with Zlatan Ibrahimovic set to miss the start of the next season following knee ligament damage.
The Red Devils have turned their attention from Antione Griezmann to signing a new number nine and Lukaku, Andrea Belotti and Alvaro Morata all on their transfer target list.
Speaking about a possible move, Lukaku claims he wants to win trophies in England as quoted by The Sun.
“I know what’s going on, but I let my agent finish things,”he said:
“In the end I do take the decision. I want to improve and enhance myself. He continued. “We are in talks with the club.
I want to play in the Champions League, and try to win the Premier League a few times. “I’ll take the decision.”
Their valuation of Lukaku is north of £80m, however, at the age of 24, it would be a solid investment as he’s Premier League proven and has plenty of time left to become a top player. His return of 23 goals in the league was his best return last season.
Man United have the financial power to buy any player has they have just been listed as the richest club in the world ahead of Real Madrid and Barcelona. And hopefully this will help them get this striker.
