Paul Pogba arrived in England last summer hogging all the headlines as a result of his hefty transfer fee. Manchester United paid £89m for his signature, but the Frenchman has only flattered to deceive in his time back at Old Trafford as he adjusts back to the rigors of the Premier League.
A former Tottenham favourite, Harry Redknapp who led Spurs to the quarter finals of the Champions League back in 2011 has claimed that Dele Alli is currently of higher transfer value than Paul Pogba based on his performances for the North London outfit this season.
Reknapp said as quoted by TalkSport:
“I think he’s fantastic,” “Can you tell me how all those scouts failed to spot him when he as playing for MK Dons every week? How did they end up waiting until Tottenham came in for him?
“It’s incredible that no-one took him. What a player, what a signing – what a steal at £5m. “I think he’s worth £100m now. If Pogba’s worth £90m, Alli is worth more.”. he added.
Alli has scored 11 times in the Premier League this season, improving on the 10 he scored last year, and Redknapp believes the 20 year old has the potential to become one of the best players in the world, which is not in doubt, as he netted 21 goals in just 55 Premier League appearances since joining Spurs in the summer of 2015.
