It would seem that there is no love lost between Jose Mourinho and Manchester United legend, Roy Keane. The pair do have history, after Roy Keane snubbed Jose Mourinho’s handshake when the former was assistant at Aston Villa to Paul Lambert.

The Irishman had felt affronted when the Portuguese decided to leave the game before the end of the game at Stamford Bridge, which Keane said was disrespectful. With Mourinho now managing Keane’s former club, the tension has not dissipated if the latest comments by the Irish no 2 is anything to go by.

Keane was critical of Mourinho following his difficult start to life at Old Trafford, but with results improving under his tutelage, Keane has still not let his hair down in his criticism of the former Chelsea boss.

When asked whether the Portuguese had got his confidence back, Keane said on ITV via Daily Star:

“It’s a pity really, you’d like to see bit more humility,” “You knew once they started winning a few games he’d get back to his old cocky self.”.

After struggling initially at The Theatre of Dreams, Jose has led his club to 16 games unbeaten in the league, progressed to the semifinals of the FA Cup and also take on Southampton in the EFL cup final on Sunday at Wembley.

The Portuguese is back to his snarling best after the disaster at Chelsea last year, playing mind games with rival managers and regularly complaining about referees and match officials.
