After seeing Harry Kane register his third hat trick on Sunday against Premier league rivals, Stoke, Tottenham manager, Mauricio Pochettino has heaped praise on the 23-year-old, insisting that the striker is on course to becoming a legend at White Hart Lane, if he continues at this current rate.
Kane was in devastating against the Potters, registering three goals in 23 minutes and also delivering an assist, which propelled the North London outfit back to second place on The Premier League, ten points behind runaway leaders, Chelsea.
Speaking after the game, Pochettino said:
“Maybe he’s starting to be a legend with the goals he’s scoring and the way he behaves. He is so professional.
“He has the perfect profile to be a legend here. He has his character. Sometimes he argues with me. Sometimes he’s upset with me. Sometimes he is happy. He has a strong character. His personality is because he showed on the pitch behaviour as he showed today.” he added.
Despite being injured and out of form at the beginning of the season, Kane has now registered 17 goals in the league, ranking him alongside Arsenal’s Alexis Sanchez and Romelu Lukaku on top of the top-scorers chart.
Kane has registered 62 goals in the league since breaking into the setup at White Hart Lane in 2014, meaning he is loved by the fans of the club, and against Stoke on Sunday, the fans sang, ” Harry Kane, he is one of us”, a slight dig at rivals, Arsenal, who let the forward leave theie club as a youngster.
