Antonio Conte is looking forward to some celebrations should Chelsea win the league title. The Blues are currently 8 points ahead of their nearest challengers, Manchester City with just 13 matches left to play and a run of games that are very much winnable in the coming weeks.
The Blues host much-improved Swansea at Stamford Bridge on Saturday knowing full well that a victory would move them closer to a 2nd league title in 3 years.
The fiery Italian, who is known for his passionate touchline antics has won over the Stamford Bridge faithful with his air of being one of them, and is making Jose Mourinho look like a distant dream.
After initially struggling to impose his ideas on the team, a 3-0 defeat at Arsenal back in September saw him revert to type and the league leaders have gone on a run of just one defeat in the 19 games since that game at The Emirates.
The 47-year-old spoke recently in an interview with Chelsea Pitch Owners when asked how he will celebrate if Chelsea win the league. He said as quoted by Express:
“For me it was important, the first ever Scudetto in my career as a manager. “As a footballer I won five, and to win the first Scudetto as manager was incredible for me. “I celebrated a lot with my family, with the fans, with the players. Honestly, I hope to have this satisfaction to win the league in England.
“It would be fantastic for me, and I think I can realise a dream for me. I know that it won’t be easy, but we are working a lot to realise this dream. “When it happens, I’m ready for every celebration for the fans.” he added.
Chelsea are on course for the title, and there will be massive celebrations if The Blues do win the championship. The fans will be waiting for that after the shame of last season.
