Inter Milan forward, Ivan Perisic is on Chelsea’s radar. The Croatia international has been identified by Blues boss, Antonio Conte, as one of the men that could further enhance his playing staff for next season.
According to Tuttomercatoweb, the player, who is currently turning heads at the San Siro will be watched by club scouts when his club play Roma on Sunday. Perisic has been very good for The Nerrazurri this season and could be set for a £29.5m switch to Stamford Bridge, an amount which had been rumored to be his release clause.
However, with all the speculation linking Perisic with a move away from the club, sporting director, Piero Ausillio had this to say about the Croat’s future:
“I do not think it is either Perisic’s or our intentions for him to leave,” “He is part of a massive project and we do not want to sell our players.”
“We cannot envisage an Inter without Perisic. “We are not going to get rid of our best players.” he added.
The Blues, who are currently 8 points clear at the top of The Premier League table are keen on strengthening their options for next season as the added pressure of juggling Champions League football with domestic cup competitions may prove too much for Conte’s limited squad, as the likes of Oscar, Ivanovic and Mikel have all left the club and will need to be replaced.
Perisic is an attacking midfielder who can play as a striker and in either flank. He has scored 7 goals and created a further six in what has been a great campaign for him on an individual level.
